In Bloomington, a freind of mine, Jojo, adopted a green winged macaw and named him after the jazz guitarist Charlie Bird. He took Charlie Bird with him everywhere on the back of his bike, even pulled on a floating perch behind Jojo's paddle board! I used to also have a pirate band, The Pirate Flags, and Jojo would bring Charlie Bird to some of our gigs, and Charlie would sit on the banjo player, Mitch's shoulder! Once, on the fourth of July on the court house lawn for a city parks and rec gig, Charlie got agitated and bit off a chunk of Mitch's ear!!!
